Having A Coke With You by Frank O'Hara.

First of all, sorry for the late post. A very late one. I've been dealing with some stuff: boyfriends, friends, studies... And I ended up with a single status, a major 'sandcastle' issues, and... waiting for my thesis test. So far, my life has been... You get the idea. :)

But this maybe a chance to turn things around. To not depend on anyone or anything except my own actions. So... in a way, I'm kinda excited, despite I am in my low point of life. And speaking of which, the poem that I mentioned in the title is one of the things that lifted me up. Sweet and lovely. Maybe I shouldn't read this, since its obviously about two people falling in love, but it's so nice and soothing that I couldn't stand not showing this to everyone. Hope you enjoy this. :)

HAVING A COKE WITH YOU

is even more fun than going to San Sebastian, IrĂșn, Hendaye, Biarritz, Bayonne
or being sick to my stomach on the Travesera de Gracia in Barcelona
partly because in your orange shirt you look like a better happier St. Sebastian
partly because of my love for you, partly because of your love for yoghurt
partly because of the fluorescent orange tulips around the birches
partly because of the secrecy our smiles take on before people and statuary
it is hard to believe when I'm with you that there can be anything as still
as solemn as unpleasantly definitive as statuary when right in front of it
in the warm New York 4 o'clock light we are drifting back and forth
between each other like a tree breathing through its spectacles

and the portrait show seems to have no faces in it at all, just paint
you suddenly wonder why in the world anyone ever did them

I look
at you and I would rather look at you than all the portraits in the world
except possibly for the Polish Rider occasionally and anyway it's in the Frick
which thank heavens you haven't gone to yet so we can go together the first time
and the fact that you move so beautifully more or less takes care of Futurism
just as at home I never think of the Nude Descending a Staircase or
at a rehearsal a single drawing of Leonardo or Michelangelo that used to wow me
and what good does all the research of the Impressionists do them
when they never got the right person to stand near the tree when the sun sank
or for that matter Marino Marini when he didn't pick the rider as carefully
as the horse

it seems they were all cheated of some marvelous experience
which is not going to go wasted on me which is why I am telling you about it

A Knight's Tale

Ini benar2 film yang menghapus galau saya. :) Judulnya A Knight's Tale, keluar tahun 2001. Sayang aja yang jadi tokoh utama udah ga ada :| but otherwise, this is a brilliant movie.

The story is about a help.

Pokoknya TOP deh. It shows you that a man can change his stars.

You have been weighed, you have been measured, and you have been found wanting. In what world could you possibly beat me?
- Adhemar, Will/Sir Ulrich nemesis.

It is strange to think, I haven't seen you since a month. I have seen the new moon, but not you. I have seen sunsets and sunrises, but nothing of your beautiful face. The pieces of my broken heart are so small that they could be passed through the eye of a needle. I miss you like the sun misses the flower; like the sun misses the flower in the depths of winter. Instead of beauty to direct its light to, the heart hardens like the frozen world your absence has banished me to. I next compete in the city of Paris, I will find it empty and in the winter if you are not there. Hope guides me, that is what gets me through the day and especially the night. The hope that after you're gone from my sight, it will not be the last time that I look upon you.
-William's letter to Jocelyn, his love at first sight.

Chaucer: And one and two and three and four and your hands should be light like a birdie on a branch. And one and two and three and four and Wat doesn't lead he follows like a girl.
[Wat punches him. Scene changes, and Chaucer now has a tissue stuck up one nostril
Chaucer: And one and two and twirlie twirlie twirlie! And one and two and you're still getting it wrong! And one and two and three and four you can hit me all day cause you punch like a... what?
Roland: A girl!
-Chaucer, Roland, Wat. Chaucer is Will's/Sir Ulrich's herald. In Indonesia? Juru bicara. They're trying to dance properly for Will's first party. Chaucer's trying to teach, even though I think he doesn't succeed. At all. ^^

William: I'm Ulrich von Leichtenstein, from Guilderland, and these are my faithful squires.
[gestures to Roland
William: Delves, of Dogington,
[gestures to Wat
William: and Falhurst, of Crew.
Chaucer: I'm Richard the Lionheart. Pleased to meet you. No, wait a minute, I'm Charlemagne. No, I'm Saint John the Baptist!
[William draws a large knife
William: All right, hold your tongue sir, or lose it.
Chaucer: Now you see *that* I do believe, Sir Ulrich.
-When William and Chaucer first met. I like the quote that I've bolded. :)

Chaucer: You're good. You're very good. My lords, my ladies, and everybody else here not sitting on a cushion!
[crowd roars
Chaucer: Today... today, you find yourselves equals.
[crowd roars
Chaucer: For you are all equally blessed. For I have the pride, the privilege, nay, the pleasure of introducing to you to a knight, sired by knights. A knight who can trace his lineage back beyond Charlemagne. I first met him atop a mountain near Jerusalem, praying to God, asking his forgiveness for the Saracen blood spilt by his sword. Next, he amazed me still further in Italy when he saved a fatherless beauty from the would-be ravishing of her dreadful Turkish uncle.
[crowd, boo
Chaucer: In Greece he spent a year in silence just to better understand the sound of a whisper. And so without further gilding the lily and with no more ado, I give to you, the seeker of serenity, the protector of Italian virginity, the enforcer of our Lord God, the one, the only, Sir Ulllrrrich von Lichtenstein!
[crowd roars
Chaucer: Thank you, thank you, I'll be here all week.
-Chaucer's intro before William's first official match as Ulrich von Leichtenstein. I like it! :D

[trying to convince the squires to bet that William will win, when they believe the French knight will win
French Squire: An Englishman will not win this French tournament. English legs are unsteady on French soil.
French Squire: And because French wine is too much for English bellies.
French Squire: And most importantly, because the Pope himself is French.
Roland: [finally gives in] Well, the Pope may be French, but Jesus is bloody English! You're on!
-When Sir Ulrich's helpers want to bet against the French. This conversation is hilarious to me. XD

And there's many more! You should try watching the movie! :)

Lucid by Roberta Day

I just stumbled upon this, and I find it quite beautiful. :)

Lucid

by Roberta Day
I want to sleep forever and reside in my dreams
To frolic through a collage of different spectacles and scenes
An escape from the insufferable, cruel world at large
I want to sleep forever

I want to sleep forever so I can live in my dreams
The ruler of the lands, the queen of all kings
With nothing to fear but the darkside of the conscience
I want to sleep forever

I want to sleep forever and fight my inner demons
Provide peace of mind for all bothered and exhausted
Float on utter bliss; those monsters, I'll never miss
I want to sleep forever

I want to sleep forever and never show sadness again
Bright, long-lasting smiles on weekly sullen days
Created and maintained in a variety of ways
I want to sleep forever

I want to sleep forever to erase everything
I want to sleep forever and feel warmth again
To bathe myself in content that won't ever end
Let me sleep forever

Books that I've read recently

Okay... Between my PTC website and trying to get sleepy/drowsy, I'll write about a few (okay, lots of) books I have read recently.

I've done reading this in English in about... I don't know... two-three hours? Maybe a few minutes more. :D Yeah, for the guys, maybe you don't understand what girls like from Stephenie Meyer's books. But I have to admit, her words are fixating my eyes! Adventure, romance, thrill, everything wrapped up into one slim hard-cover book. Oh, and I got this one at a discount price. #win First of all, I love that she made Bree as a quiet but smart newborn vampire. Despite her hunger, Bree succeeded at finding out about the truth: How vampires are actually not vulnerable to sunlight, how whoever changed her was up to no good, and all the lies Riley, the watch-dog for the newborns, was a flat out one. It's just too bad that she's, you know... dead. :|

"You are beautiful, Susie Salmon."-Ray Singh

I haven't finished reading this one (and I bought this one in Indonesian at Book Fair... Hey, I have a weakness for cheap-but-high-quality novel!), not because I hate it. But because I was afraid to finished it, since I already saw the movie. Nice beginning, pretty much standard and long middle... I don't love it, but I like Alice Sebold's unique story-telling. Oh, and how she describe the era. :) Favourite character? Ray Singh, of course! Different yet smart. And Susie's sister, Lindsey. Even sneakier and smarter.

I bought this particular old story in English at the same Book Fair, just because I'm curious about the real story. Not the short version I've heard all my life. So far, so good, but I haven't finished it yet. Definitely suitable for children's story. :)

Yes, I know. Another Stephenie Meyer book. Is she my favourite writer, you ask? Haha, not really. Particularly on this book. I bought it in English, and it makes me... what's the word? Confused? Loopy? Well, all of the above, maybe. But I kinda grasp the spine of the story, though I'm not really sure I understand the garnish. Uncle Jeb underground hide-out, for example. I can't quite wrap my mind around it. Too bad the Indonesian is far more expensive than the English. Well, I do bought it at discount price (again). :p

I think I spend all my luck finding this sucker. Only one left, and also discounted! I have been searching for this book for months! And now, Rick Riordan is one of my favourite writer, so the inside are really not disappointing at all. His stories are easy to understand, but also adventurous. I've finished reading it in about an hour. Maybe less. :D

Well, that's all I can say about my recently read books for now. M, over and out! ^^

Atlantis:The Lost Empire

Yes, yes I know. This movie is old. 2001 dia munculnya.

M, over and out. :)

King Kashekim Nedakh: Your heart has softened, Kida. A thousand years ago, you would have slain them on sight.
Princess Kida: A thousand years ago, the streets were lit and our people did not have to scavange for food at the edge of a crumbling city!
King Kashekim Nedakh: The people are content.
Princess Kida: They don't know any better! We were once a great people. Now we live in ruins. The kings of our past would weep if they could see how far we have fallen.
King Kashekim Nedakh: Kida...
Princess Kida: If these outsiders can unlock the secrets of our past, perhaps we can save our future.
King Kashekim Nedakh: What they have to teach us, we have already learned.
Princess Kida: Our way of life is dying.
King Kashekim Nedakh: Our way of life is preserved. Kida, when you take the throne, you will understand.

Bunkasai K3J Atmajaya 17 Juni 2012: The Cosplay Contest!

Gue sempet makan siang yang agak mistis (katsudon tapi telornya agak abu2. hiiiy), kemudian nonton kabaret, dan akhirnya!

Nonton lomba cosplay.

Yang pertama diperkenalkan adalah jurinya. Sayangnya gw kaga kenal sama sekali, tapi wew, jurinya mangstab abis deh. Cosplaynya ga nanggung :) Lalu mulai lah muncul para cosplayer satu persatu. Ini dia foto2nya. :)

Waktu diwawancara cuma dieeeem aja. Apa bener in-character, ato karena dy gbs liat+denger jelas krn kostum? O_o

Black Wargreymon! Lihat vidionya di bawah ya! Keren! hehehe
Gundam. Perhatikan saudara2....
....nah. ada yang salah dari kostumnya? hahaha
Kamen Rider. Tp gtw jenisnya apa. --"

:D Nih foto paling keren dy yg saya punya:

Dan yuuuk kita liat aslinya:

Beda banget kan!!?? :D tapi harus gw akuin, kostumnya mirip. Dan perjuangan ini cosplayer berbuah hasil. Dia juara 1, bo! XD

Setelah liat cosplay, gw sempet nonton temen gue lomba makan ramen sebentar (dan dia juara 2... syukurlah.) terus pulang. hahaha #malessampesore

Sekian berita saya ttg lomba cosplay. :) Enjoy!

A Closer Look at Sea of Monsters: Stanley Tucci/Dionysus

Dikarenakan galau krn lm diapprove draft seminarnya DAN belum bosan berbicara ttg Sea of Monsters... berikut ini adalah sekilas tentang si pemeran Dionysus, Stanley Tucci. Klik at his name for IMDB profile, guys. :)

Dari dulu sampai sekarang, gue ternyata baru sadar bahwa gue sangat sering melihat Stanley Tucci di berbagai film yg gw tonton. The same thing happen to me on Josh Hutcherson, a.k.a Peeta Mellark, but because I decided to babble about Sea of Monsters, this guy comes first. Maybe later, I'll talk about dear Peeta. :D

For you guys who don't know Stanley Tucci is (and of course, too lazy to click on my link --"), here's a pic of him.
Ring a bell? No? Okay. Mungkin gw cerita aja kali ya dari awal, gimana pertama kali gw nyadar muka org ini sering muncul di layar kaca.

Pertama kali gw liat Stanley Tucci (I mean, realllyyyy looked at him), itu adalah di film ini: Maid in Manhattan. Disini dia memerankan seorang perwakilan calon senator yg disiplin, meski sang senatornya sendiri nyantai abeesss. Haha. O_o If you haven't watch it, you should. I give it 3.5 out of 5 star. Lucu, romantis, pokoknya top deh.

You can see him in the poster, though. For more clue, here's his picture in the film:

Yeah. If you still haven't figured it out, he's the murderer. Yang membunuh anak2 kecilnya itu loh. #shiver I personally doesn't like this genre, tapi pesan filmnya masuk banget. Meskipun si Mr. Tucci jahat disini, dia cocok dgn perannya. Salute!

Kemudian! :D

Hahaha, yes people! He's Dr. Abraham Erskine, from Captain America: The First Avengers! And last but not least... His latest gig! Well, before Sea of Monsters, of course. I'll just give you his picture. I'm sure you'll figure it out. :)

Keterlaluan kalau kalian ga tau. Keterlaluan!! :D Yes, he's Caesar Flickerman from The Hunger Games. This is my favourite character played by Stanley Tucci. I mean, look at his sparkling full-teeth smile! And his friendliness when interviewing the Tributes... despite most of them would be killed later in the Games. :| Love this one!

Nah, sekarang, kembali ke topik. Dia sebagai Dionysus. Ga seperti post gw sebelumnya ttg Nathan Fillion/Hermes, gw gatau harus bilang dia cocok ato ngga utk karakter yg satu ini. Mr. Tucci has played characters that is very variated and random. Lucu, serem, serius... gue udah pernah liat dia main semuanya. In short, he's a great actor, really. Knp? Simpel. Krn gw lm perna liat dia main karakter yg mirip sama si dewa anggur. :)

But I've got some pictures of him from the set of Sea of Monsters. Does he fit the bill? Well, you'll be the judge. And me, after I see the first trailer. :D Utk skrg, saya angkat tgn dulu deh. hehe.

The scruffiness fits, though. :D

M, over and out! :)

A Closer Look at Sea of Monsters: Hermes/Nathan Fillion

Oke. Waktu pertama kali liat IMDB profile Sea of Monsters (sekitar maret), gue melihat sesuatu yang janggal. Ada nama seseorang yang gw kenal disana. Dia adalah...

None other than Nathan Fillion, everyone! And he's playing as Hermes! :D Gue bener2 merasa dia cocok sama peran tsb. Kenapa? Mari kita lihat sejarahnya.

Yes, for writers, depletion of muse can happened at some time. But his muse is so depleted, dia membunuh karakter utama/pahlawan novelnya sendiri. Yeah, desperate man, I know. You could see her in that poster. And you know what happens if a woman and a man work closely together and they both are single. Sparks flew in the air tapi ga mau ngaku... you know the rest. Yah, meski Castle sebenarnya duda dengan seorang anak perempuan sih... :) Dan sekarang season 4 seri ini sudah selesai, rencananya akan dilanjutkan dgn season 5. :D

Nah, kenapa gw seneng dengan seri ini? Simpel aja. Novel. Misteri. Pembunuhan. Detektif. Merangkum hal2 yg gw demen. Dan Nathan Fillion bener2 sukses mendalami peran Rick Castle. Iseng, playboy, konyol, lebih kekanak2an daripada anaknya sendiri, yet somehow still managed to be genius at the same time. For my viewer's eyes, here's another devious smile of him... ;D

See? See?? :D Dan akhirnya, sampai pada alasan kenapa gw rasa dia cocok memerankan Hermes di Sea of Monsters.

SATU. Peran dia sbg Rick Castle sudah cukup sbg syarat tsb. Iseng? Hermes adalah dewa pencuri. Gimana ga iseng coba? Konyol? Apalagi. Itu bisa dibilang sepaket sama iseng.

DUA.That mischievous smile. Oh yeah.

TIGA. The last but not least....

He looks a bit ridiculous in this costume. But it matches his character. Very postal worker. :D You've got to admit, postal worker do look ridiculous in their outfit. So he match the bill, right? :)

Hahaha. That's my review of Nathan Fillion/Hermes in Sea of Monsters. Congrats, dude. You're perfect for this role. :)

More pictures of Nathan Fillion in Sea of Monsters:

NB: Pictures are not mine. All are from Zimbio.com and Google Search.

And if you don't believe me about Rick Castle being devious and annoying, check out this clip. :)

Enjoy! :) M, over and out.

Percy Jackson & The Olympians: Sea of Monster... Pic from set!

Setelah gugeling (bukan guling2 ya :p), gw AKHIRNYA dapet bbrp pic dr set Sea Of Monster yg gw suka. Bagi gw, ada beberapa kejutan.

See? You know who this girl is, right? Yep, that's Alexandra Daddario, a.k.a Annabeth Chase. Notice the difference from The Lightning Thief?

That's right ppl. Annabeth Chase akhirnya berambut PIRANGG! Sesuai deh sama bukunya!! YEAH! ^^

Can you guess who is that big guy in the middle supposed to be? You can't? Mungkin kalian harus baca bukunya dulu ya. haha. That is, the one and only... Percy's half-brother, Tyson the Cyclops, played by Douglas Smith. Nah, kagetnya gw disini: kok Tysonnya adorable banget?? Sumpah meski bongsor, wajahnya unyu, haha.

More pics that I like:

Annabeth/Alexandra is adorable in this shot, by the way. Love it.

Look at Grover's/Brandon's face. Priceless. :D Oh, and Tyson's/Douglas's tongue. ;p

This is the best picture I got of Leven Rambin/Clarisse La Rue. :|

I have no idea what they filmed in this scene, but I think it's serious. Berdasarkan gear yg mrk pakai, mungkin archery? I don't know.

That's all for now. And btw, this is their IMDB profile for the movie. Enjoy!

M, over and out. ^^

NB: Pics are not mine. All from search @ Google. :)

Perks of Being A Wallflower...

Sayangnya!

Ga ada. #krikkrikkrik

Hampir aja gw gegabah beli dari luar seharga 202.000 rupiah. #grok #jualginjal tapi gw pikir, kalau filmnya diputer pasti akan keluar lagi bukunya. Akhirnya gw buka IMDBnya tuh film. Mari kita lihat jadwal tayang USA-nya kawan2...

September. #gyaaaaaaaaa #taktahan #hoaaaaa

Desperate, gw cari reviewnya. Dapet dari Amazon.com. Gw baca review yang dibuat sama penbaca, bukan editor or else. Ini kopasannya:

I read The Perks of Being a Wallflower, by Stephen Chbosky, in April of my sophomore year at college. A friend lent it to me and I had read it within twelve hours. This book reaches inside of you and pulls everything to the surface. It is a beautiful and painful story about a 15 year old boy, Charlie, moving through his freshmen year of highschool. It is written in letter form to an unknown friend. Charlie is always completely honest, whether he is describing his first "beer" party where he witnessed a girl being raped by her boyfriend, or explaining masturbation and his excitement for this newfound "activity." Charlie is a wallflower who observes people and feels very deeply for the experiences occuring around him. His favorite Aunt Helen died in a car accident when he was six, and he holds himself accountable, and his best friend committed suicide a year before he began the letters. His English teacher realizes Charlie's potential and brilliance and asks him to try and participate, which Charlie agrees to do. He becomes friends with two seniors Patrick and Samantha and begins to experience dances, parties, the Rocky Horror Picture Show, pot, love, bad trips and sexuality. We feel exhilerated when Charlie describes his happy moments, and we are swallowed in pain when Charlie is overwhelmed by his depression. Charlie's realizations are eye opening for us, and we are so captivated and immersed in his life that his life and stories become a very real experience. This book is about moments, and being as much alive within each moment as possible. It is about looking around us at the world and the people and appreciating that we don't know what their lives are like, and the pain and happiness that they experience day to day, so we shouldn't judge them but accept them and appreciate them. A favorite section of this book, for me, was when Charlie describes the movie It's A Wonderful Life, and how he wished the movie had been about one of the less heroic characters so the audience could have seen the meaning that this person's life held. That moment is just one example of Charlie's amazing intuition. This book should not be limited to a certain "category" of people. I truly believe that it would be understood, appreciated, and loved by everyone aged 12 (+ or - a few) and up regardless of gender, race, sexuality, etc. This book changes you, if only for a moment, but you are not the same upon completion, and you become more appreciative of life then ever.

Dan gw nangis. I'm blubbering like a baby. Terutama setelah baca kalimat yg gw bold sendiri.

Setelah itu, gw membulatkan tekad. Gw HARUS punya buku tsb, no matter what it takes!

Congrats, Stephen Chbosky. You just make me your first rate fan. :)

Nothing specific, mostly done by pencil so... I hope it's good enough. :)

As you might notice, gw lebih suka gambar sayap. Haha, idk why, just a fondness of mine. :D

Lagu hari ini: Angel by Sarah McLachlan.

Ini lagu mellow banget, cocok pas gw lagi pengen nulis... Buat pikiran terbuka, gituh. :) Coba denger aja deh, enak kok musiknya. Awas tidur tapi. :)

Berikut adalah liriknya... enjoy!

Angel By Sarah McLachlan
Spend all your time waiting
For that second chance,
For a break that would make it okay.

There's always some reason
To feel not good enough,
And it's hard, at the end of the day.

I need some distraction,
Oh, beautiful release.
Memories seep from my veins.

Let me be empty,
Oh, and weightless,
And maybe I'll find some peace tonight.

[Chorus]
In the arms of the angel,
Fly away from here,
From this dark, cold hotel room,
And the endlessness that you fear.
You are pulled from the wreckage,
Of your silent reverie.
You're in the arms of the angel,
May you find some comfort here.

So tired of the straight line,
And everywhere you turn,
There's vultures and thieves at your back.

The storm keeps on twisting.
Keep on building the lies
That you make up for all that you lack.

It don't make no difference,
Escape one last time.
It's easier to believe in this sweet madness,
Oh, this glorious sadness,
That brings me to my knees.

[Chorus]

You're in the arms of the angel,
May you find some comfort here.
